1. Information We Collect

When you use Haishin, we collect information to provide a better user experience, including:

• Account Information: When you sign up, we store your full name, username, email address, and hashed password. If you sign in using AniList OAuth, we generate a synthetic email and store your AniList user ID and public profile name.
• Watch History & Watchlist: We store your watch history, watchlist details, custom lists, and comment interactions to enable cross-device sync.
• Technical Data: Standard access logs, browser type, and timestamps are recorded for server operations and performance tuning.

2. How We Use Information

The information we collect is used solely to run and improve your streaming interface:

• To personalize your homepage and recommendations.
• To synchronize your watchlist across devices.
• To manage your session states via Better Auth.
• To allow you to comment and react to comments under episodes.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties. We do not share your private account data with external services, except when explicitly authorized by you (for example, syncing list updates to your connected AniList account).

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies to maintain your login session (managed securely by Better Auth) and local storage to cache local interface settings (such as volume control or subtitle sizing). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but please note that doing so will sign you out and prevent authentication.

5. Your Control & Account Deletion

You can modify your name and avatar at any time from the Profile page. You also have the right to disconnect your AniList account or delete your authentication methods. If you wish to fully delete your account and all associated watch history, please contact support.
